Go For Real Diamonds

Diamonds are really beautiful and even the most expensive thing on earth if I'm not mistaken. You have any idea how diamonds are extracted?

Most natural diamonds are formed at high temperature and pressure at depths of 140 to 190 kilometers (87 to 118 mi) in the Earth's mantle. Carbon-containing minerals provide the carbon source, and the growth occurs over periods from 1 billion to 3.3 billion years (25% to 75% of the age of the Earth).
Diamonds are typically yellow, brown or gray to colorless. Less often blue, green, black, translucent white, pink, violet, orange, purple and red.

If you have any idea how diamonds are further formed, you will understand why it's the most expensive gemstone ever.
I love diamonds so does everyone.

But why don't we go for the real diamonds?

The real diamonds in such that they are forever treasured and valued!
Some ladies want and engagement ring with a diamond topping. I've even had someone tell me if it's not diamond ring she will consistently say no.

Wow! That's a hard talk but she meant it.
Everywhere on the TV and magazine headlines are divorce(s). It's so rampant that it makes me sometime getting into a relationship is sick and boring. But then, there's always a good side to every bad situation.

Let's stop living and imitating the Hollywood. The Hollywood is another stage entirely that's for the pleasure of our eyes. You've forgotten as happy as Will Smith is with his wife and family, there will always be misunderstandings.
There's no such thing as a good and perfect marriage without little misunderstandings. As a matter of fact, every disagreements should be at a end result of coming together to agree.

The best diamond you can ever get is your spouse and the best way to get it is your invested time. Marriage is a lifetime contract. No graduation or convocation. It's learning all the way.
Would you rather buy a diamond ring that costs you lifetime savings for a woman which you will eventually get out with in less than 6 months?
Nobody knows tomorrow. You never can tell what fate you have with your spouse after marriage. That's why every relationship should start with a good praying foundation.

You know how much it will cost you to travel from your current location to theirs. You know how much you need to do that subscription? You know that time you are to rest but you choose to talk to them? Those endless and selfless sacrifices you will make to win their heart.

Those are real investements. I tell people, if you aint sure about your love towards someone, why not sit with a good pen and paper and write down all the extra mile and sacrifices you've made for them.
It's okay to play the hard game. But when you over do it, I think it's best for the other to sit and analyse. Humans often assume. We act based on assumptions. Say your mind out. The other person can't know what's on your mind because you aren't a mirror. You sure don't want to invest a chunk of your time and then get dissappointed. You also don't want to get the wrong diamond.
You just have to be extra careful And vigilant in the place of prayer.

A true gem is hard to find but when found, it's so easy to keep and enjoy it. You want to look at that diamond ring and forever admire that REAL DIAMOND. Love is a beautiful thing I must confess that's with the right person.

I Am Not Odejimi - My Evolution series 6

I was so overwhelmed seeing my Mother. As God would have it, she has become very strong. Stronger than I left her. She does the farming alongside with baa mi. This time, there was plenty to harvest and sales were better. I was so happy for them. Finally they can do what they've ever wished in their little way.
And most of it, give me my pocket money.

"Old man! You won't get up right?" That was what I heard
That voice sounded more masculine.
It was not long I knew all was just a dream. I managed to ask for the time from the figure standing before me and he said past 8.
I didn't know how suddenly my eyes were wide open.
I tried to help myself off from the bed and I couldn't. My legs were heavy. Obviously, due to the lengthy walk we had the previous day.

Alas! I managed to get up and within 5 minutes I was done. I needed no perfume or any other preservatives. I just wore my usual uniform and headed straight to the class.

Mr. Push as he is well known shifted his glasses frame from his nose and gazed at me as I tried to enter the class through the back door. Luckily, the class was a multitude and I immediately freeze.
Did he see me? Well, I was guilty so why wouldn't I feel such way. He was asking Rachael a question. And it happened she was sitting opposite to where I managed to hide myself from.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Not too long, the class was over, Rachael strolled down to where I sat jotting a friend's note.

"Did you attend class today?" She asked like an infuriated mother.
"Well yes! I was in class but.."
"Then why wasn't your name in the register file today?" She cut me.

I had no choice but to explain everything and how I overslept and with the intervention of a brother like roomie. Probably I would still have been sleeping.
But how's is like that? That's the question I asked myself silently. At least, I do more work and trek far distances when I'm in the village. How many distances have I covered that I was so weak yesterday?

"Well I wrote your name in the register for you. When I looked round and couldn't see the tip of you not to talk about your village clothe" she said trying to balance herself on the table before me.

I just focused on the note I was jotting and said "thank you" shabbily.

Just in time, I finished jotting, was using the corner of my eye to search for the guy I copped the note from. Didn't want to raise my head to look at her. The shy part of me was at full charge and didn't even want to give a sly time.

"Hey dude. You done with the note yet?"
That accent was so on point?
Didn't know how to reply so I just nodded in affirmation and returned the note.
All these while she was reading my actions and already knew why I did that.

"And when will you go over to the store and get a good cloth as a good citizen?"

Was he insulting my personality? So I thought. I was definitely proud of my outfit and culture. And just that made the fire of confidence fall on me intensively.

But back to the moment, how could I in anyway ignore the damsel sitting accross me? It was just an arm stretch before I can touch her.

I decided to break the silence between us. I apologised to her why I came late. But why would I? It wasn't like I owe her any explanation but then it came so easy as anything.
She smiled after my explanation and suggested we go out. To where?

A Slap Defect Might Not Be Enough

It saddens me when I hear the word RAPE. Words like I was pregnant by accident. If it wasn't in your consent, how would you have gotten pregnant? Those are the common questions we give as answers.

You see fellas, we all need the wisdom and the help of God in every way. We can't run this race of life alone. And that's why he's the lamp to our feet.

Rape is sex you don't agree to, including forcing a body part or object into your vagina, rectum (bottom), or mouth. Date rape is when you are raped by someone you know, like a boyfriend. Both are crimes. Rape is just not about sex alone — it is an act of power by the rapist and it is always wrong.

Rape as it is, is nothing more than a sexual assault. Going against your will. Rape cannot be just in the sex form alone. Once you're forced to do something against your wish, I call it rape.
A sexual assault and abuse is any kind of sexual activity that you do not agree to. And they include; inappropriate kissing, touching of your vagina, having oral or anal sex. Attempted rape. Child molestation. This happens mostly amongst teenagers. Sexual assault can be verbal, visual or anything that forces a person to join in an unwanted sexual contact or attention.
Have you heard of VOYEURISM? This is when someone watches private sexual acts. EXHIBITIONISM This is when someone exposes him/herself in public. INCEST is a sexual contact that occurs between family members. All these can happen anywhere. Even in familiar places either by a stranger , on a date, or even at home.

Date rape. This occurs as a result of date rape drugs which often have no smell or taste and can be given to you without you knowing at parties or in a club. Especially where alcohol is served. Mind you, if you're given date rape drugs, you might not be able to say no to unwanted sex and you may not be able to clearly remember what happened.
Let's not use the Western way to describe what's not. You have a boyfriend and he asks you for sex. Obviously, him asking you for sex is against your will and wish, then you finally give in. It's your fault there if you later discover you're pregnant.

Many forget that as it applies to the female, it also applies to the male. Rape isn't just a single gender "thing". It's a thing of both genders. I've heard of a guy gang raped by ladies. Someone I know so well. You might say, he's the guy! He should know how to overcome them and perhaps over power them. But I tell you. You can't underestimate the power of sexual active girls. These class of girls, their sexual drive is on another planet and they will go the extra mile to get what they want.

THE SLAPPING DEFECT
Have you ever gotten pregnant and you narrate your ordeal to someone. At the end of your story line, you conclude by saying "it was by accident."
The first question that's meant to be asked is, did you shout? Did you scream out aloud? What did you do exactly? Nothing is by accident if you were unwilling and you suddenly give in.
Most times, shouting might not be loud enough. They might not be the easiest way to get out of any rape action. You might shout amongst people and they will not help you. What do you do then?

A lady once said on TV how she was always molested as a young girl by a group of young boys. She had always sent out issues of warnings to them and they just won't stop.
The next time it happened, she was going through the normal route and this same incident happened. She got so angry and didn't know what to do. The only thing in her mind was the metal she was holding.
She immediately flung the weapon at him and it missed by just an inch. I bet, at this time she wasn't aware of her action. It was when she surprisingly saw the boys back off she knew what she had done. Had it been she didn't miss, she would have been blamed for doing that. But most people don't want to hear two stories from both parties. They just pick on the bad one because the society has said it is bad. Let not be sentimental in any way.

Whenever you feel you are being raped, and you've called for help try the slap defect. Slap your oppressor as many times as possible. Kick as much as you can. In the groin or anywhere to weak them. I know you would be saying it's much easier to say than to do.

But is there any better way to escape from rape? Rape isn't something you always plan for. It's not intentional. What's intentional is you giving in without much confrontation. Teenagers, you need to be careful with the way you follow boys around. We may look so harmless, but don't try to give them more than hey can chew. Only few are less harmless. I stand to be corrected.

Whenever you need to be at a party organised by guys, college friends;

Say no to alcohol.

Always insist to open your own drink all by yourself.

If you're given a fruit, for instamce apple or orange. Why don't you keep that fruit?

Don't always let other people hand your drinks. And if the need be, you go to the "ladies" please do make sure you're done with your drink before you go. And if you can't finish your drink before that, when you come back, why don't you ask for sealed bottle water instead?
Safe way is to keep your drink with you at all times even when you have to go to the bathroom.

Don't drink or taste anything that looks different or smells strange.

Always go to a party or club or concert with someone you trust very well.

Stay away from party drugs. They can be pills, kiquids, or powders. All these can leave you vulnerable and disoriented.

How I wish every teenage girl can always walk around with a pocket knife. I'm just saying.

However, if you think tat you have been raped,

DON'T BLAME YOURSELF.IT WASN'T YOUR FAULT.

TALK TO AN ADULT AND GO TO THE POLICE STATION OR HOSPITAL RIGHT AWAY.

TRY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE NOT TO URINATE TILL YOU GET HELP. THIS IS TO QUICKLY IDENTIFY IF YOU WERE A VICTIM OF DRUG RAPE

DONT CHANGE CLOTHES OR BATHE BEFORE GETTING HELP. THIS MAY SCRAP EVERY EVEIDENCE THAT YOU WERE RAPED

GET EMOTIONAL SUPPORT. YOU MAY FEEL TERRIBLY SHOCKED, AFRAID OR EVEN EMOTIONALLY NUMB. TALK TO SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT YOU AND CAN HELP YOU EMOTIONALLY

I do wish I could spit out all my mind here but I can't. Just as I so much hate the word RAPE

I Am Not Odejimi - My Evolution series 5

Just as I was about popping the question out, I felt an automatic pause button in me. I just suddenly didn't ask. We kept on touring the campus till she self acclaimed she was tired. She needed to sit.

I suggested we sit under the big mango tree not far from the laboratories. This mango tree doesn't seem any different from the village one. Though it looked bigger in my sight. I remembered baba mi once said there's the male and female type. Well who cares at that moment?
I was still checking for a good place to sit when she had already retired herself into one of the molded chairs. The chairs appeared so real. Molded chairs? I asked myself. In sculptural forms. As I laid myself to sit, I could feel the coldness of the blocks. Smooth and well refined. Who could have thought of doing this? This human actually deserved an award.
You wouldn't blame me at that moment. I'm just coming from the village and I've never seen such before.

"Se e sun ni? Are you sleeping?" I asked her. She checked me through the corner of her eyes and even bolted up herself well. I just didn't get the reaction.
Having talked halfway and no response from her I was furiated.
"This girl is spoilt oo. She can even sleep anywhere at anytime" I said in my dialect.
She still didn't give any reply.
We were like that for 20 minutes and I was fed up.
In my head, I was drawing a map of how we came to that spot. So in case, I will know how to retrace my steps back to the hostel. I did this peacefully and the thought of Ajoke wouldn't just go like that. Not even her thought alone but the way I saw her the other time.
I hope that guy isn't planning to marry her already. It shouldn't be so. Didn't know when I said it out aloud.

Finally! She's awake! She adjust herself from the chair and was looking like one in a strange land.
"Welcome back" was what could spit out from my mouth.
"Did I go anywhere?" She retorted back
"Well maybe you didn't but you also did"

Now her eyes are wide open and I could see her clearly. She has this big and accurate eyeballs. Whitish and beautiful. I could see the sky from her eyes. The significance of the white iris was bloated out due to her black and well shaped pupil. I just love it at that moment.
She immediately waved her eyes off. I try oo. I even dare look at someone in the eye. This is so unusual of me. For I was taught looking at someone straight in the eye is a form of disrespect.
I couldn't have done less.

She apologised for snapping at me when I was talking to her which I accepted. Would I have not accepted? For such a beauty? Or maybe I should have done some little shakara. I was too quick to accept her apology and it's irreversible.
By that way she will learn how to respect me.
See me forming big man then.

"I'm sorry I was so tired of walking and I decided to have a nap" she repeated herself.
"A nap? You call that a nap?"
"What's wrong with it? And why are you so meticulous about that?"

Now I couldn't help but to hold myself not to argue.
For you respect a woman and her views even If they look stupid. My father will always tell me. And I've seen him display such attitude to my mother. Not just to my mother but to other women in the village. Little wonder that's why they respect him everywhere despite his predicaments. Older women will go down on one knee to greet him. His respect is so much in the village I wish to be like him. Well that will be in the city. Or so I thought.

We talked for another one hour or more. I didn't have a watch so I couldn't account for the exact time. I must say, I enjoyed every bit of my conversation with her. It was like I was talking to my mother. I immediately remembered my mother and everything back in the village.
Her conversation made me forget everything for a while.

It was getting dark and she was famished.
"Let's go over to London Bus"
I pretended like I didn't hear what she said. I didn't want to be embarrassed simultaneously, I needed to know what she meant by that.

It was just a 'buka'. A joint named by the campus students. That entails so many local food. Including rice and its varieties.
She ordered for rice and when it got to my turn, I was asked if I would love "knockout".
I was startled for a while. Before time, she went to make do of what she meant. And it was 'fufu'. That's what we called it in the village. Made of cassava. And I can remember whenever it was made in the village, the little kids will always gather around for the burnt part. They call it 'eepa'. It's not just collected alone from fufu. It's also from the 'amala' which is the yam flour and solid pap.

The food seller was able to quickly recognise what I needed due to my dressing. I couldn't believe I was comfortable in that outfit. It's just too early in school. And besides I was not too sure if I will like it anymore.
Soon after eating, I was the talk of the 'buka' that day. Of course you can't have everyone like you. Even if you're as plain as a paper.

I enjoyed my meal and I could tell that my eating manners were totally different from others that had my type of solid food. The way I licked and cleaned the plate was different from others.
Even iya ewe knew me instantly. She asked from her stand where I was from in my dialect and I responded her. She named a few places and people who I happened to know.
She also said whenever I will be going back to the village, I should let her know.

"Shall we go now?" Asking me with her head nodding like she wants to give an head kick.
We immediately left the 'buka' and while walking back home, I saw the bursar. This time, it was not too late but also late.
With his manner of approach, I could tell he was either coming from a war or heading towards one. What era of the war is what I am not sure of. Maybe world war V.

"Where have you been all day? Just to make him familiar with the campus and show him the important places will take you a whole year?" He almost lost his balance here.
She apologised and it was cool then.
"I need you to see me in my office tomorrow"
"Beeni sir" I had replied in my dialect

She choked up as she laughed. And we departed for our hostels. I must say, I was very tired after all the outings and it was indeed a good tour.
This time after my shower, I laid back on my bed and replayed every good event that happened during the day.
This was where I slept off.
