There's nothing more that keeps people off my tail just because I don't tell them about my life. My secrets, my personalities and everything about me generally. Yes!
I do that because I have to do that. Perhaps it might be as a result of my zodiac horoscope. Find that yourself.

If I must trust you with my life, I must make sure your hands folded backwards isn't harmed with a knife. I must make sure you worth the trust!
Trust as it seems is a very big word that has destroyed some and conjoined many together.
I am a big partaker and witness of this.

But what do you do to someone who you've actually laid down your life to and even knows what your next pant will be in your next outing, goes ahead and stab you right before you.

You see, when you get to approach people and all along while chatting, they don't want to disclose anything to you, they are been careful with their words. It's not their fault. They've probably gone through too many heart breaks and malfunction of trust.
How I wish this life was taken as simple as it is.
I'm not by anyway giving marks and credits to anyone.

But you find out that such problems exists between teenagers. Yes! Teenagers!
The teenage life is the most essential part of ones growth. After your breast milk from your mother, remember as you slowly advance into the teenage age, you're going to be fed another breast milk from life itself. Teenagers believe this stage of their life is the best time to do many crazy things.

I want to believe that on a 50-50 percentage, teenagers confide in their parents. It may not be to both parties but teenagers should try to make it a habit in talking to their parents. Their first best friends forever should be their parents. No matter how harsh and strict they might be, there must be some space for father and son/daughter talk.

No two "hot" parents can raise a child. Believe it or not. It's either the mother is cool and accommodating or vice versa. This is because when teenagers are bullied outside, it's the parents they will tell and when this contact and mutual communication isn't available, they begin to look for outside friends. And they might fall into the wrong hands of friends. This is where peer pressure and bad influences take a walk and sit like a chairman.

Parents, remember the way you can earn your child's trust is by scolding them alongside praising them. Praising and encouraging them has done more good than harm.
Whenever you're in a gathering of high class society, always praise them and let them know you will always have their back no matter what it might be. Scold your children in the private and not in the public. Don't get me wrong here please. It's very simple. Heavy scolding should be done in your closet and always avoid calling them names.

The stigma you inflict on them, you can't imagine the Way it will bounce back at you later. Be very careful the way you expose your teenagers to different things and different cultures. Cultures of dressing, talking, appearance, thoughts etc

The Short Run Could Be Better Than The Long Run

I hear people say "I'm so giving up now". I don't think I can do this anymore. And I will be like seriously? You've come this far to offer such a statement. Most times, such statements are said out of frustration. There's no two way thing about this. When you're set and hoping and man keeps failing you. At first, the encouragements will troop in and your head will be so elated.

And then you see you're nose diving way too much more than you can imagine. And you just see few people left behind to say "keep moving".

I tell you categorically! Quitting can be the best option. But then, if you ask me. What would I say to such person who has been all positive for what he/she does and suddenly, the negativity is unbearable.

One, have you found a new love?
What do I mean by this!? Even in our day-to-day activities and relationship with people, we switch things up. Probably, your present client has developed some characters you can't handle. Sure, you quit doing business with such. Now don't get me wrong. Of course, you must have done some counselling and every possible way to scold and retire the person back to normal. And once efforts are becoming fruitless, you withdraw yourself.
The way God does his things are unquestionable. He makes life teach us and beat us till we say we are sorry. His ways are totally different from ours. We propose and God disposes.

It's only when you've found a new love you will be so sure of making do away with the former. And without this, it's only going to be frustration upon frustration. And if care isn't taken, it will lead to suicide.

When you have love for what you do, it's absolutely so great. You can't imagine the accommodation you get. But that isn't enough.
An undying love is actually the best. You can't fulfill and touch lives if you don't persistently love yourself.
I was somewhere today and someone made a statement "You are being scold left, right, back front and centre. And you think it's all suffering. It's only for you good and when you eventually make it, you will first remember yourself before remembering anyone else"
He continued and said This is my fifth car and I haven't even bought one for my dad"
But he makes sure his Dad is living fine.

I'm not saying you should be selfish. But before you can extend the hands of love to others, you first start with yourself. Forget the social media life. I don't believe in all that. We have to face the reality and remember you walk in your own shoes and not others. So you alone knows where the shoe is pinching you.

You might have started a business or a creative act for years and your expectations doesn't seem coming through. And after all the sufferings, God decides to explore that other talent of yours that seems it's not working and you won't make pay out of it to make it.
2 years you're into the game and your fame is publicised more than you can ever imagine. That's it. There's nothing you can do outside what God has planned for you. You can think and have multiple degrees in good professional studies and likely to be what you don't even study at all.

Just know that THE SHORT RUN CAN SOMETIMES BE BETTER THAN THE LONG RUN. KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF AND WHAT YOU HAVE. KNOW THAT GOD ISN'T ASLEEP NEITHER IS HE DEAD. MOST OF IT ALL, LOVE YOURSELF

Be Careful With Our Hearts.

It's such a very beautiful thing having parents that were born in the '60s era. You can imagine the priceless memories and lessons you will have imparted on you. They will always have many stories to tell that will always make you eager o come back for more. The companionship is forever.

But then, every good thing has its own defect and bad side. If you have parents in such eras and you have the utmost freedom, then you're blessed. Having such as parents, can be frustrating and tiring. Every of your movements is watched. For instance, there's an online comedian who goes by the name AphricanApe. Even at his age, he says his mother still monitors his movements closely. His activities and all of that.

You just can't peacefully have a friend that's the opposite sex visit you without them sighing or even coughing. After the visit, just be ready for Jamb questions. Questions that you will not even know how to answer in simple terms.
Every of your phone call is monitored. The funny thing about this one is; they can easily detect when you're talking to your male friend and female friend. No matter how you try to hide it.

Most times, it makes me want to say that all such parents should be employed in the police force. Their rate of secret detection and appearance can't be measured.

All these happens because they believe those times were the best times ever. They've seen too many things including war. They also believe that through these things, whatever they do is right. So so right and there's nothing you can do about it.

Some parents don't even believe in the jet age as at now. I don't blame them though. Even the jet age has done more harm than good. If you ask me. Everything you see on TV now is preaching nudity and something outside the plans of God. Everywhere is parties and wasteful lives. Spending and living lavishly. Besides, what do I know? Who am I to sit here and judge.

I was watching a movie this morning Be careful with my heart.
I'm a very very emotional person and I was watching the end of the movie. Obviously, that's always the best part of every movie and even to life itself.

Sir chief as he's fondly called by his maid who has three beautiful grown up children, unnoticeably fell in love with his maid. She always makes his coffee and sometimes gets into trouble with him due to his temperament.
With time, he just couldn't help himself as he fell in love with her and each time he wants to wave it off and pretend like he doesn't love her, he just kept wallowing into the ocean of love.
Maya the maid has always wanted to be a flight attendant. Along the process of serving as his maid, she was able to balance studies and work together. Through thick and thin, she made it.
And countless times, he surprised her without her consent. Eventually he married her and that's where the emotions was just so so so...
While my Dad was watching with me, he was just like what's wrong with these people. He tried to make a joke out of the characters while the film ended.

I told him, it's because he's too old to see it. Their time is gone and they should leave us with ours. When you're in love and you just can't explain what and how you're in love, everything you do with your spouse or partner will look so stupid and meaningless to the outsiders. As a matter of fact, they will throw shades at you and criticise you to the point of you asking yourself and even doubting your love.
Remember, if you embark on a journey and you begin to pay attention to every dog that barks at you, there are two things involved.
It's either you don't arrive at your destination or you even have to abort your journey.

Just focus on the things that you do and what makes you happy. There's nothing as self love and being happy with ypurself. By this, you will become contagious and everyone will be awed.
If you don't know your self worth, and you aint always happy with yourself, even if you do the best thing ever, you will have no reason to be happy. You can't help but to be the best in the blame game.

As for our parents, they just need to believe in us and believe in the knowledge they've imparted in us. Yes we can't do all ourselves without needing their advice and directions. But they also need to allow us to explore and see things for ourselves. One major reason why they do this is for the fear of the unknown.
They aren't so sure of what will happen when we do crazy things. So they decide to protect us from that unknown fear. And if care isn't taken, there will be lots of damages than good.

If you believe the Bible is a powerful book, how many times have you read it? Many people talk but few are the doers. Pastor Benny Hinn once marvelled at the fact that only very few people in a meeting he had, testified that they read the Bible through. No person of power is a wasteful talker. To know the truth and not do it is a crime.

Soren Kierkegaard said "A possibility is a hint from God. One must follow it."
What do you see as possible? The bible is strongly against the sentence "It Is Impossible"
There is great room at the top for men and women of action. If you had done the things you planned to do, your level would have changed. You have great abilities. Discover and develop them.

Many "prisoners of hope" are around today. They appear free but are trapped in the hope that tomorrow will be better. Tomorrow does not really exist. Tomorrow is now. Stop expecting things to happen. Make things happen. The able bodied men that gather to discuss politics and football issues does not know that if they fail to go to work, nobody will ever discuss their exploits. __"If braggarts don't go to work, they will eventually beg"--

Thank God for the ability and permission to work.
Pray for wisdom and freedom from any "prison of hope".

I Am Not Odejimi - My Evolution. Series 4

I was so expectant and ready to explore. I walked out of the office and I stared at the usual corner. I saw the same view I saw days back.
I wanted to be sure so I walked myself downstairs to approach and confirm. After all, they say seeing is believing. Well to me right at that moment touching is believing.

Lo and behold. My eyes weren't actually deceiving me. They had to just concur to what I saw. I immediately called out her name and she turned. It was Ajoke oo.
"Are you also here?" She said confidently like she has seen me before waiting to ask me.

"Yes. I'm here on scholarship and I just finished my registration some days ago. My father just returned early this morning." I replied her back ignoring the environment I was. Still holding my aso oke firmly.

I noticed her smiling and I was wondering why. I asked her why she was. And this time around she graduated from smiling to laughing.
"Don't tell me you're still using those village mentality here"
"What do you mean by that?" Trying to sit next to her.
This time, I saw here eyes walking all over me from my head to my toe like the modern scanning machine.

"Can't you see what you are wearing? See what I'm wearing. You just look so different here. In fact, in the whole of this campus." Clapping her hands the way girls do when they want to gossip.

How was I so blind to see what she was wearing. I didn't even notice. Maybe I was blinded by her love. This I thought.
"You can't blame me now! Can you?" Wait did I just ask her in that manner? Okay. The shy village boy is actually moving with the flow. He's exploration has started. Let's see how it will end.

I gave her reasons. She laughed again and pretended like she was going to class. She wasn't with any book. Obviously she was trying to avoid me. She branched another place that didn't look like a class. Maybe that was a class. How would I know? I'm still yet to know everywhere.

"This girl didn't even wait for me to ask her what she was doing here" I sat there with my hands supporting my cheek like the hands holding the globe.

While I was still staring into the space daring myself to enjoy myself, I saw a tall lady. Apparently, taller than me. That was because I was sitting and she was standing.
I strayed her from down upwards and saw the face. Now I thought she had come to harass me or even make fun of my dressing. Whatever it was, I just wasn't ready. When I couldn't handle the person I know that just walked out one me, how would I even address you that I don't even know your lineage and how your generation existed.

"Are you AgbaAkin by name?" I love her accent. I immediately adjusted like one who's ready to give a presidential speech.
"Yes I am" oh! My accent to is good. Trust me.

I was asked by the bursar to take you on a tour.
Did she just say tour? What does that even mean? My secondary school teachers didn't open their learning dictionary to teach me words like that.
Suddenly, I don't know how the meaning of the word she spoke came about. Tourism. Yes! I know the meaning. Now, remove the suffix ism and find out for yourself.

She has spoken almost half page of an higher education note before I came back to reality. Thank God she didn't ask any question.
What I heard was "Can we go now? Are you ready for the tour?"

"Y..y..ess I'm ready" that was what I was able to mutter back following her like I just arrived.

She wasn't bad at all. Her complexion was just so on point. Golden brown. Her hair flawless. It almsot looked like Ajoke's own. Hers is even darker than Ajoke's. Her walking steps, like she was walking on gold. She was just so beautiful, gorgeous and charming. Yes she charmed me and I was caught up. The baba that did that charm for her to prison me tried.
Remember I was behind her. Definitely I was thanking God for his wondorous works and his devoted time on this lady.
She shouldn't be younger than I am in age. I guessed at that moment that she was the same age with me.

We walked and walked and I was eager to ask her something as a novice just the way it came to my mind.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Hebrew 11 vs 6

Faith is the ingredient that makes our lives palatable to God. No matter what we give, say, do etc. Without faith, God cannot be pleased. Faith is you acting on what you believe God has said.

Is is a total commitment to trust in God.
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. Psalm 125 vs 1

Listening to the news and getting afraid as a result is not faith. Reading and listening to God's word then relaxing on the integrity of the author is Faith.
Instead of spreading WhatsApp messages that trigger fear things from an unknown source, spread the sure word of God.

Another version of what actually mean.

Faith is your ability to see the invisible, act on it and take it in the physical realm.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not see. Hebrews 11 vs 13
An example of this is the Hebrew brothers. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They had faith and believed that nothing would happen to them when they are thrown into the hot furnace of fire. I'm pretty sure they weren't even prepared for what will happen next. And then they saw a fourth person there. JESUS CHRIST

Fix your heart on God and let your hand be ready to receive from him. Eliminate fear from your life by reminding yourself that God has the power to do all He has promised. He said, if we deny him before the world, before our friends and we always feel ashamed to talk about Him, he will also deny us. The Hebrew brothers didn't deny him and God really showed up. He proved his might before the lazy gods.

No matter what is going on, trust Him what all you have. With your last penny.

I give you an instance; a young boy asked his average father who is a clergyman what they were going to eat for Christmas. His father replied him God will provide. Depressed by his answer, obviously mean there wasn't any way they would celebrate Christmas. Not even any idea where the food will come from. Minutes later, he asked the same question and he got the same answer. He kept on asking until he decided there no hope. As the day was fast approaching to darkness.
A church member walked briskly by their street with two polythene bags. She withdrew her steps and said "Sir, I was directed to give you this". He opened it, lo and behold it was a polythene with a big hen.
He leaped for joy and couldn't express his reactions. Minutes later again, another old time neaighbour was driving pass and saw him in his state. He pulled over and was surprised to see him. They exchanged pleasantries and said "Sir, I have three kegs of oil and I don't like vegetable oil. Why not take one? Also I have carrots and fried rice ingredients. Would you want some?"

Once again, he was so joyous and ran about like he was just released from prison after so many years. The long time neighbour left and he quickly went to wake his son from his sleep and told him the news. That was how he celebrated Christmas with his family.

Once you have an undying faith, he will surely usher you into the supernatural with your faith as your password.

Conclusively, when all things have failed and all men have turned you down, switch over to God. He will never leave or forsake you. He is looking for those who will come up to His supernatural level. Faith is the ladder.

Are you burdened, heavily laden and you think suicide is the only solution. Why not switch to that password. Ofcourse, this is meant for those who believe in Him. You trust him. Are you ready to take that huge step of faith?

Hi peeps. How was your weekend? Hope you had a fun filled weekend following the Valentine celebration. I also hope you received gifts well enough.

Before you were born, your step mother has a daughter and her daughter had given birth to a boy. Obviously, you're meant to be his Uncle and him your nephew.

Remember he's 5 years older than you are. Who's meant to give an iota of respect?

Like they say, "respect is reciprocal". 

Are you meant to respect because he's older than you are. Or he is meant to respect you because you're his Uncle irrespective of the age difference? 

Celebrating True Love

Dear friends, let us practice loving one another, for love comes from God and those who are loving and kind show that they are the children of God, and that they are getting to know him better 1John 4:7

Do you know what people all over the world are celebrating today? Obviously the town has been painted red. Pepper red. They are celebrating LOVE. Today is that day in the year when many people wear colours like red and white to symbolise love. There is nothing wrong in celebrating love.

But the question is Can love be celebrated without knowing its true meaning?. God is the true meaning of love. No man in history has shown more love than God did. For the love of mankind, God gave his all, Christ gave himself and the Holy Spirit thangs around our sin-infested world.

Today, the world remembers Saint Valentine, who risked his life against the orders of the cruel Emperor Cladius just because he loved to see people happy. Saint Valentine stood on the other side of Christ. Whoever celebrates him must stand where he stood. Giving room to sin such as fornication, adultery, partying etc are the direct opposite of what today stands for.

According to a lecturer years ago, the devil has taken over Saint Valentine's day but you can go against him by celebrating God's love. This goes beyond wearing red, sending text messages about how you feel and giving gifts to special people. Reach out to people who are ordinarily out of your way. Give Jesus a gift such as telling someone about Him today and rededicating your life to Him.

Don't just stop today. Celebrate love everyday. If love is your way of life, your life will be full of wonders.

Valentine - The V And The D

I so much love this beautiful RED season or should I say DAY of LOVE and I've been seeing beautiful concepts and give away packages. The "perfect" time to go down on that one knee and hold that little box. Head tilted up a bit and mouth muttering words to propose to her.

Obviously, it's VALENTINE'S DAY. The history about how Valentine's day came along can't be more emphasised.

Valentine is a card sent often anonymously on St.Valentine's Day, being the 14th of February to a person one love or is attracted to.
Valentine's day, also known as St. Valentine or the feast of Saint Valentine, is a celebration observed on February 14th each year.

Wouldn't like to dwell much on that. The question here is, Valentine's day, 14th or more?
I know your answer is a NO. Shouldn't just be celebrated on the 14th alone. We should show love everyday to everyone right?
Of course, that's so easy to say. But how well are we living by what we preach?
As a matter of fact, most relationships are re-kindled and almost seem like its on fire straight away. And ironically, some relationships just get broken few days before the D-day. They refer to those as the "poor" boyfriends.

Valentine goes a very very long way down the road. It goes beyond the sharing of boxers and pants. It's even at this moment I think for teenagers especially who are in a relationship begin to flock outlets and even joke about their partner's breasts.

Older folks use this moment to remember the displaced persons, less privileged, orphanage home helping with whatever they can. If you ask for my honest opinion, that's one of the best idea ever.
As it looks so good and encouraging to do so, it shouldn't be once a year. Oh! And on Christmas day which makes it twice a year.

I read an article months ago how one of the duos in the music industry here in Nigeria was planning to celebrate his Wife's birthday and didn't even know how to celebrate it. Probably he just wanted a small gathering.
But his wife said she wanted him to, instead of the money he will spend on gifts, they should contribute it to a dying boy who has cancer of the eye. He was so shocked according to the article I read. Eventually he did as his wife wanted and she was so happy. I tracked the news and eventually the boy died after the successful operation due to the pains. He couldn't bare the pains. For a very young boy less than 12 years.

That alone melted my heart and I'm sure melted the boy's parents too.
Random help at anybody and you will feel so fulfilled trust me.

The first letter of Valentine and Day. The V and the D. You might be wondering what that means. It's so easy to decode. So easy!
Sharp dudes already smiling.
The slangs they use is Vayjay and Dick. Which means Vagina and the Dick.
When others choose to celebrate the Valentine season with loved ones and with the less privileged, and other ways, some choose to go extraordinary.

I'm directing this to teenagers. Valentine is not that day where you get laid down. Valentine is not that day your "boyfriend" needs to prove his love to you. Don't let the movie life get into your head. You still have a very long way to go. Lot of things to accomplish in the nearest future.

Fine, you want to get them a card. Go ahead. But don't choose to have sex that day. You sure don't want to be a disgrace to yourself and your parents.
